Akinwale Cole is a senior operations and risk management executive with over 24 years of progressive leadership experience delivering operational excellence, enterprise safety, and strategic transformation across complex, high-risk environments. He is widely recognised for building resilient, compliant, and high-performing operational systems that protect people, assets, and reputation while enabling sustainable business growth. Combining strong commercial insight with deep expertise in facilities, logistics, safety, and emergency response, Akinwale consistently aligns operational performance with profitability, regulatory compliance, and long-term organisational value.

Currently serving as Senior Manager, Facilities at Prime Atlantic Safety Services Limited, Akinwale provides enterprise-level leadership across facilities management, security, logistics, business planning, and QHSE functions. He has a proven record of risk anticipation, incident prevention, and crisis leadership, having successfully delivered high-risk technical and training operations with zero incidents and zero injuries. His leadership approach integrates robust governance frameworks, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement to drive safety, efficiency, and operational resilience.

Akinwale has played a strategic role in landmark industry projects, including the conception and delivery of HUET simulators at Prime Atlantic training facilities and the deployment of the first OERTM/TL and helideck training simulator in sub-Saharan Africa—a milestone that positioned Prime Atlantic as a regional leader in OPITO-accredited training infrastructure. He was also part of the core team on Chevron Nigeria’s Deep-Water Training Project, achieving 3.1 million man-hours without a single lost-time incident, a benchmark widely regarded as exemplary in safety performance.

With over 18 years of hands-on leadership in occupational health, safety, environment, security, and enterprise risk management, Akinwale is a seasoned Incident Commander, trusted to lead organisations through complex emergency and crisis situations. His expertise spans stakeholder engagement, contract and vendor governance, financial and capital planning, policy development, regulatory audits, and performance management across large, multidisciplinary teams.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Ibadan, providing a strong analytical foundation for strategic decision-making, financial planning, and business optimisation. His professional standing is further strengthened by international certifications in ISO management systems, project management (PMP), quality auditing, risk and safety management, and executive leadership, and by fellowship and membership in several reputable professional bodies.
