Prerequisites

Candidate must be an IRATA level 1 technician with minimum of 12 months working experience.

Target group

This course is designed to provide persons who have IRATA level 1 and additional work experience.

Objectives

To provide participants with intermediate level knowledge for rigging working ropes, safety requirements and quality assurance procedures relating to rope access.

Contents

The course focuses on the following elements:

  • Tension lines, Work restraint, Horizontal lifelines,
  • Anchorage selection, Team work, Communication
  • Equipment and Rigging:
  • All sections equipment and rigging covered in level 1
  • White “Y” hang, re-belay, deviation
  • Rope and sling protection
  • Pull-through, work-restraint and horizontal lifelines
  • Tensioned ropes
