COBRA Operator Basic Training

Prerequisites

Delegates attending this training course must have Basic firefighting training.

Target group

This course is a specialized training course aimed at new users of the coldcut™ cobra and users that need a knowledge refresh. It is meant for emergency response team members who are designated as operators of the Cold cut COBRA firefighting appliance.

Objectives

The course provides a broad basic knowledge in mist application and high-pressure firefighting. It involves technology, tactics, safety and cutting, both theoretical and practical and tactics targeted at giving participants the knowledge to handle COBRA in a safe and efficient manner, and to apply the method in real fire scenarios

The course consists of practical and theoretical training and knowledge of:

• History of self-organization
• Different tools in your own organization: Fog nozzles, fog nail, foam systems,
• Method development: PPV, TIC-cameras, Cobra
• Cobra system and components
• Handling the system
• Safety in the usage
• Override in the process of
• Cobra Extinguishing Concept
• Fire dynamic/fire behavior
• Tactical ventilation, PPV ventilation, over pressure side compartment
• TIC, thermal camera technique
• Cadre exercise
• Case studies
