Crisis Management Training (Strategic or Gold Control)

Prerequisites

No prior training is required by delegates attending this training course.

Objectives

To deliver training and exercises that cover the areas in dealing with major emergencies that have entered into a Crisis phase.

Target group

This training is intended for:

• Senior Crisis Roles – CEO / MD, Head of finance, Head of legal and Head of media
• Leading Team – – Senior Management, Duty managers and Relevant
  Department Team leaders)
• All H.R team members that could be involved in emergency response including H.R admin
• All Media representatives and media admin staff that could be involved in emergency response. Media Spokespersons that could address the
  media – one to one.

Contents

Media Team Exercise

• Press conference “Answering difficult questions”

Senior Crisis Role Exercise

• Use of case studies to bring crisis / major emergency situations to life.
• Business Continuity.
• Details of case studies to depend on type of company but will be video and slides to spark discussion.

Leading Team Role Exercise

• Team leadership under pressure (theory and case studies);
• Decision making and recording (good practice with examples);
• Managing the information in the room (so it is legally auditable);
• Reporting requirements (Board, regulatory etc); briefing the team (structured format);
• Media and HR requirements from the leader.
