Target group

The course is aimed at those with the responsibility for the control of offshore helidecks and their associated equipment.

The course is designed to increase the candidate’s knowledge and to help build self-confidence in their personal ability to lead the helideck crew.

Objectives

On successful completion of this course delegates will have a greater knowledge and understanding of the roles and responsibilities associated with being a HLO and have been assessed on the competency level throughout practical content covered.

Prerequisites

  • Offshore emergency helideck fire team member certificate
  • CAA VHF certificate
  • Previous offshore Helideck Attendants experience, or have similar experience of working with helicopter onshore.
