Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Response Training TBOSIET (OPITO)

Target group

The course is designed for personnel intending to work on an offshore installation
in the Tropical region and forms part of a common Offshore Safety Induction process.

Contents

The course focuses on the following elements:

• Safety Induction
• Helicopter Safety & Escape (without the use of EBS)
• Sea Survival
• Fire Fighting and Self Rescue

Prerequisites

No prior training is required to attend this training programme.

Objectives

• To provide delegates with a basic level of understanding and awareness of safety and emergency response on offshore installations.
• Delegates will be required to demonstrate their skills and a level of knowledge and understanding of key areas, as defined in the OPITO Standard for Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training.
