Objective On Successful completion of this course, delegates will have a greater knowledge and understanding of practical training in Helicopter Fire-Fighting and rescue actions.
Contents The course consists of practical and theoretical

training and knowledge of;

  • Chemistry of fire
  • Firefighting agents
  • Helicopter crash fire fighting
  • Personal Protective equipment
  • Breathing apparatus
  • Portable and semi-portable extinguishers
  • Hose handling/Foam making appliances
  • Theory of firefighting and risk during helicopter operations (landing / take off).
  • The performance of firefighting and the rescue actions on the helicopter deck.
  • Efficient extinguishing of helicopter fire and the rescue of persons.
  • Use of monitors, fire hoses and portable extinguishers.
  • Rescuing crew and passengers from a burning helicopter.
