Management of Major Emergencies Training

No prior training achievement required.

Target group

This course is designed to provide persons with responsibility for managing and controlling emergencies an opportunity to practice such operations and processes in a controlled manner. The sessions can be conducted using a generic offshore platform or tailored to specific company or personnel employed on different types of Installations.

Objectives

To provide persons with responsibility for managing and controlling emergencies an opportunity to practice such operations and processes in a controlled manner. The training will expose candidates to emergency scenarios that can be designed around their actual installations operation and Emergency Response Procedures.

The course focuses on the following elements:

• Manage Individual and Team Performance
• Deal with Stress in Self and Others

At the end of the Course attendees will be able to demonstrate an improved understanding of the relevant OPITO standard, particularly in the areas of:

• Use of Drawings
• Communication with Agencies
• Escape routes
• Boundaries
